Terms of Use

These terms apply to the LonoText app and to LonoText Cloud, the service that turns Arabic dictation into text. By using them, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The beta
LonoText is in beta and free for now. Features, limits and availability may change, and the service may be interrupted.
2. Using LonoText fairly
Use LonoText to dictate, for yourself or for your work. Please don't:
- send automated requests to LonoText Cloud, or use it outside the app;
- get around its limits, for example by registering many Macs;
- resell or share access to the service;
- use it for anything illegal, or try to access other people's data or disrupt the service.
3. Minutes and limits
Each Mac gets a monthly allowance of cloud minutes. We may change allowances, pause cloud dictation for everyone when a daily capacity limit is reached, or turn it off for a Mac that breaks these terms. Dictation on your Mac keeps working either way.
4. Your words
What you dictate is yours. You allow us to process it only to turn it into text, as the Privacy Policy describes.
5. Accuracy
Speech recognition makes mistakes. Check the text before you rely on it, especially for anything important.
6. Updates
LonoText updates itself. Older versions may stop working with LonoText Cloud, and the app will ask you to update.
7. Paid plans
When paid plans become available, their prices and billing terms will be shown before you pay.
8. No warranty
LonoText is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses caused by mistakes in transcription or by the service being unavailable.
9. Ending
You can stop using LonoText at any time by deleting the app. We may end the beta or the service; if we do, we'll say so in the app or on this website.
10. Changes
If these terms change, the date above changes too, and we'll announce important changes. Continuing to use LonoText means you accept the new terms.
